SUPER8 WEDDING FILMS

NOSTALGIC

CINEMATIC

PERFECTLY

IMPERFECT

Super 8 wedding films aren’t about polished perfection; they’re about feeling. They’re the goosebumps during your vows, the blur of laughter as the champagne spills, the fleeting, beautiful chaos that reminds you this was real.

IF DIGITAL IS PRECISE, SUPER8 IS POETIC

Shot on real motion picture film stock, each frame carries its own imperfections, little quirks that simply can’t be replicated in post. It’s tactile, raw, and beautifully unpredictable.

It’s more heartbeat than highlight reel, and it’s the kind of film your grandkids will stumble upon one day and think “I can’t believe they looked this cool.”

traditional videography shows you what your wedding looked like, super8 cinematography conveys what it felt like

common CURIOSITIES

  • I totally get that antique equipment can seem a bit risky, but trust me, the chances of something going wrong with your film or my cameras are as rare as a blue steak. I’ve been tinkering and professionally shooting ‘old gear’ for yonks, I know my gear inside and out. Plus, I always come prepared with backup gear and extra film, just in case. So you can rest assured that your Super8 film is in good hands.

And if by some monkeys miracle something outside of anyone's control does happen (like a tornado ripping apart the postage truck which by chance was transporting your film to the lab), I’ve got you covered with 100% refund on any amount sent my way in relation to your Super8 movie. I’ve seen more dingos riding surfboards then couples I’ve had to refund, and I haven’t seen any surfing dingos.

  • Because it’s the real deal, your Super8 movie needs time to be sent off, processed, scanned, sent back and colour corrected etc., just like a good slow-cooked barbie, the better things in life take a hot minute.

Generally, we'll send you a Google Drive link with your film, six to eight weeks out from your wedding.

  • In the past, some Super8 cameras had the ability to record sound. Mine don’t. My films are usually overlaid with royalty free music.

  • Color correction is where we really take Super8 to the next level. I’m talking about getting those skin tones just right, making the colors true to life, and creating a vibrant, timeless look that you'll love for years to come.

Every wedding film is unique and has its own vibe, but sometimes you need a little help to really make it shine. That's where color correction comes in. It's like the trusty mate that's always there to bring out the best in you, only we're doing it for your film.

Sure, it can be a bit of a slog sometimes, but it's all worth it when you see the end result. A custom film that truly represents your big day and captures all the quirks and personality that made it special.

We take our time with this stuff. We want to make sure your film is absolutely perfect before we send it over to you. So kick back, grab a cold one, and enjoy the ride.

  • Capturing all the waves of your special day while being realistic with coverage is a delicate balance, mate. It's true that film is precious and the moments must be selected with care, but I'll use as much film as it takes to catch the essence of your day.

We usually shoot between 3-6 rolls of film at any given wedding that create your 3-5 minute home movie. And all the scanned rolls will be included as well as your highlight film.

Why? Because I want you to have your full story. While I can tell you what makes a good story, only you can know which moments of your day will make your heart sing the most. It's usually the quiet moments that'll speak the loudest to you.
