Thanks For Stalking
Hey! What’s cooking in the kitchen, I’m Levi Caleb Allan and I run this crazy multi-level adventure we call Beaux Art Co.
I started this adventure in 2017 with a camera and a vision to disrupt the common approach to capturing love. I don’t care much for the oldschool ‘hey look at me and smile while I take 10 seconds to take a photo’ nonsense – I’m far more obsessed with the ‘holy crap I can’t breathe I’m laughing too much’ kinda vibes.
I believe there’s a noticeable difference between genuine joy in an image and a cheap smile, and I’m very firm on which story I’d like to tell.
I’ve been a photographer for going on seven years, full-time going on four years, and running this ridiculously rad adventure coming on three years.
I love dogs, surfing, op shops, I’m completely obsessed with vanlife and froth doing life with God – everything I am I owe to Him.
Beaux Art Co. started with a vision and a drive to do it different. Since starting, it’s grown exponentially into something much greater than myself. We’re now a team of three (looking for our fourth, fifth and sixth) creatives that all get around doing it different (you can read more about the goodie gang below).
More than our passion for storytelling is our love for people and community. We value relationships and experiences over any warm golden light or stunning landscape (though we’d a hundy percent pull over on the side of the road and get loose for those any day, wouldn’t you?).
We focus on building a relationship with couples in front of our camera. We’ll probably drop an inappropriate joke or two and start boogying to John Mayer because why not? We’re not posh English photographers, we’re your best friend who just happen to have a camera. So yes, we’ll definitely be showing everyone at the reception how Aussies really dance after all the formalities have been captured.
That being said, what we’re about isn’t for everyone. Our style is for those who love the in between moments, who prefer mood over technically correct, who get around gut-busting laughs and spontaneous boogying, who stray from the oldschool and like to get a little adventurous & dirty, and who aren’t afraid to run around or hike a mountain side to get a stellar shot. We’re about capturing you two for who you are and what your relationship really is – not some posed, fake, unrealistic version of it.
Meet the Team
Jonathan Scott Dickey
The man behind the colours.
Beaux Art's chief editor, part-time coffee artist and appreciator of 1970's moustaches. This American hang10's the most beaten up single fin on the coast (if you're ever in Noosa look for the man in red, he'll be there).
Levi Caleb Allan
The nugget that shoots people.
Beaux Art's founder & full-time photographer, true blue Aussie bred, occasional banjo player and lover of rustic art. When asked about my life, I convince people I breed award-winning starfish. Also can't grow a beard to save my life.
The movie magic magician.
Beaux Art's cinematographer, South African born, gets around a surf with the boys and drinks enough coffee to hydrate east India. Old mate's the human representation of a shaken up bottle of coke, fizzes on life and is keen for anything.
Jesus-loving-surf-fizzing-coffee-drinking frothers. We’re the modern day wiggles, more complete then how avocado completes a well cooked eggs benedict in the morning.
Obsessed with community, loving people and being a light to the world. Based on the Sunshine Coast, surfing Noosa every second day if we’re not on the grind.
All adventurous in our own regard, our driving point is our love for God and others – we froth community more then Donald Trump loves his wall.
You guys seem pretty rad! We're keen.
How far in advance do we need to book?
Our calendar dates can fill up anywhere from 12 - 18 months in advance with October to March the most enquired about. We receive over 100 enquires a month from couples all over Australia + New Zealand (& the world), we don't charge travel fees and you don't need a deposit to book your date!
Sounds like a vibe, but how many images are included?
Each package is different - our Essence collection delivers a minimum of 600 images, while our Halcyon collection delivers 1000+
I don't put a cap or limit on what I'll deliver with the Essence/Halcyon collections, but I do guarantee a minimum. Every wedding is different and varies from the last, and numbers are always changing.
Do you give RAWs?
No, absolutely not. Editing is 50% of the magic that goes into telling your story, and without that huge step the images are only half done.
I promise to never leave any photos out that you’ll want/need, and if you feel I missed delivering a photo, just ask! I’m more than happy to check back through my images and send it over for you. No way would I let you miss out on any memories!
What kind of equipment do you use?
I (Levi) shoot with two Sony A7ii's spiced up with a few different prime lenses. Usually rocking a 35mm f/1.4 on one body and a 50mm f/1.2 on the other, mixing it up throughout the day depending on what's going on in the moment.
Jarid shoots with a 1DX mk2, and a variety of L lenses for those nek level slo-mo bangers.
